Cheshire Boys v Lancashire Boys, 12th August, 2010
Today we hosted our first Cheshire inter-county match, with Cheshire
and Lancashire meeting in a mixed age boys encounter. Each team fielded
four under 16s, four under 15s and four under 14s. Our own Tom Lawton
made his county debut, winning his morning foursomes but unfortunately
losing his singles match. Cheshire were soundly beaten, 13-5.

Both Counties expressed their delight at the course and the hospitality they received. The weather was rather dodgy, with a short interruption for lightning, but all in all this was a highly successful day for the club, players, officials and spectators
